PFCD and Partners Urge Bold Action on Alzheimer's National Plan

Along with five partner organizations, the Partnership to Fight Chronic Disease (PFCD) submitted comments to HHS on the National Plan to Address Alzheimer's (NAPA), urging bold action to match the urgency felt by the 7.2 million Americans living with the disease today.

The letter calls on HHS to set a clear 2035 goal ensuring every at-risk American has access to evidence-based risk reduction, timely diagnosis, and comprehensive care. Key asks include establishing Medicare coverage for FDA-cleared blood-based biomarker tests, removing Coverage with Evidence Development (CED) restrictions on FDA-approved Alzheimer's therapies, expanding the GUIDE Model's caregiver supports, building dementia care capacity in primary care, and sustaining federal research investment through FY2035.
