Alzheimer's disease hits close to home for me. I lost both of my parents to complications from vascular dementia, and I’ve made it a priority to be a voice for patients and families across Pennsylvania, impacted by this devastating disease.
More than 7 million Americans over 65 have an Alzheimer’s diagnosis, and that number could double by 2060 without critical intervention. Here in Pennsylvania, over 300,000 residents are living with the disease. The symptoms take a profound toll, memory loss, mood changes, the inability to care for oneself, and premature death.
